Caring For Your Hair Extensions

When you receive your Geaux Glam Extensions, they will come in their natural state. To increase the longevity of your hair extensions, you will need to take great care of the extensions in the same way you would take care of your own hair.

We recommend that you shampoo or co-wash (using a conditioner to clean the hair) your extensions before getting them installed. The extensions are cleaned before sending them to our customers, but we recommend to shampoo them once more for an even more thorough shampoo. Be sure to apply the shampoo and conditioner in a downward motion, to prevent any tangles or frizz to the hair. Let the hair air dry after shampooing.

Do not put too many oils/serums on the hair. The hair can be weighed down and greasy from too much oil causing your hair extensions to go limp. The only serum we would recommend to use on Geaux Glam Extensions is the CHI Silk Infusion. This serum is lightweight and adds just the right amount of shine to the hair. 

Keep the heat usage to a minimum in order to keep your extensions lasting longer. With this being raw hair, too much heat can cause heat damage and your extensions can be ruined. 

When your hair extensions are not in use, place them inside of your satin bag that your received your extensions in to preserve your extensions.
